Rise Announces Newest Cohort of Innovators for 2024

Michigan Medicine RISE (Research. Innovation. Scholarship. Education.) is excited to announce its Cohort 4 innovators, who will participate in the Innovation Development Program, or IDP, beginning in 2024. The IDP is a 12-month program focused on developing innovators in health science education. Through monthly workshops, engagement in the RISE community of practice and coaching, innovators will develop the seven Health Science Education Innovation competencies. Each innovator will pilot an intervention, applying the skills they learn.

Congratulations to our two pediatric faculty that have been awarded Cohort 4 innovators!

Rachel Gottlieb-Smith, M.D., MHPE, Clinical Associate Professor will develop a system to more accurately and completely describe the clinical experiences and knowledge gaps of child neurology residents in real-time, to allow for more timely precision education.

Alana Otto, M.D., M.P.H., Clinical Assistant Professor, will evaluate and optimize a novel longitudinal cross-institutional learning collaborative for Adolescent Medicine fellows.
