Physicians in the Pediatric Infectious Diseases (PID) Clinic at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital provide comprehensive care for children and adolescents with a variety of infections or immuno-deficiency states. The Derrick Clinic cares for young people infected with HIV. The outpatient consultation clinic evaluates children with recurrent fever, frequent infections, and complicated or unusual infections. Returning patients are seen in the follow-up clinic for management of immunologic disorders and chronic or recurrent infections; for follow-up of acute infections; and for the chronic use of antibiotics. In the pediatric infusion room, we offer replacement intravenous gamma globulin to patients with defined immunoglobulin deficiencies.
