Hello, and welcome to the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Fellowship Program at the University of Michigan. I’m Dr. Michael Watson, Fellowship Program Director. Our 3-year program at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital prepares fellows for board certification and a career in academic Pediatric Infectious Diseases. Fellows spend two to four months each year on the inpatient consult service and the remainder of the time working on a scholarly activity research project. With special training pathways in antimicrobial stewardship, infection prevention, and immunocompromised hosts, we provide ample clinical experiences for our fellows to gain competence and confidence in management of the most complex pediatric patients. Our cutting-edge clinical facilities combined with a world-class academic research institution make the University of Michigan an excellent location to train.
Graduates of our fellowship program have gone on to practice in academic peds ID at many institutions and hospitals across the nation. Our location in beautiful Ann Arbor in the great state of Michigan provides the ideal backdrop for your clinical training.
