Research

The Pediatric Nephrology Division of the University of Michigan employs clinical, translational, and health services research methodologies to improve the health and care of children with kidney disease. This is a highly collaborative program with assembled experts from across scientific disciplines and institutions to focus on the needs of children and adults with kidney disease. The Pediatric Nephrology research program includes career development opportunities for faculty, fellows, residents, and students and includes innumerable options to explore research careers, methods, and mentored projects. The program includes clinical trials, longitudinal cohorts, health services, and translational research with funding from a variety of sources including NIH, foundations, philanthropy, and industry.
