The Department of Pediatrics strives to provide outstanding educational experiences for medical students. The core clinical rotation incorporates a variety of educational opportunities in both the inpatient and outpatient settings, allowing students to develop knowledge about growth, development and common pediatric diseases and skills in pediatric patient care. During their senior electives, students can further develop their knowledge and skills during specialty electives and sub-internships.
The Department of Pediatrics at Michigan Medicine are committed to promoting diversity, equity and inclusions. We are united against any forms of racism, discrimination and injustice in our community. Medical students are welcome to participate in our monthly departmental forum on Racism and Injustice. Visiting students interested in our Health Equity Visiting Clerkship can find out more information on the OHEI website.
