Carey Lumeng, MD, PhD, has been selected to serve as Chair of the Medical School Biomedical Research Council (BMRC).
The BMRC, a university committee, encourages biomedical research and facilitates interdisciplinary research and training. Responsible for the selection of the Distinguished Faculty Lectureship Award in Biomedical Research and the Dean's Basic Science Research Award, BMRC members represent the Health Sciences Schools and Colleges and the Veterans Administration Medical Center.
