Calvin Hesse, M.D.

Program: Pediatrics
Medical School: University of Michigan Medical School

About Me:
I grew up on the west side of Michigan and am thrilled to be at the University of Michigan for my pediatric residency. I became interested in medicine while attending Grand Valley State University and studying psychology. After graduating from undergrad I spent one year working with children on the Autism Spectrum. I absolutely loved the opportunity to work closely with families; there was no doubt pediatrics was the specialty for me. I attended medical school at the University of Michigan and am excited to continue to learn at this fantastic institution. I am passionate about pediatric oncology and specifically hope to continue to study pediatric solid tumors such as neuroblastoma and osteosarcoma.
Why Michigan?
Not only has Michigan been the place I call home my whole life, but, after spending 4 years studying medicine here, Mott Children's Hospital has become my home as well. I love the culture, teamwork, and dedication to excellent patient care that the medical team and residents always strive to achieve.
