About Me:
Hi, I'm Alta! I am from Homer, Michigan, and I went to Grand Valley State University for my undergraduate degree where I studied Biomedical Science and Women & Gender studies. I attended medical school at Michigan State University's College of Human Medicine where I fell in love with pediatric medicine, especially working with families from disenfranchised and marginalized communities. Outside of the hospital, you'll find me with my fiancé Justin and our two dogs, Milo & Finn. In my free time, I love to read, watch Disney movies, and paint.
Why Michigan?
It was clear, even during my online interview, that there is a culture of learning and support at Michigan. Everyone I interacted with was eager to share their love of the program and all it had to offer. Additionally, Michigan provides the opportunity to explore all facets of Pediatric medicine with a diverse, complex patient population.
