About Me:
I grew up in Grand Ledge, Michigan, and stayed in mid-Michigan for undergrad at Michigan State University (Go Green!) where I studied Nutritional Sciences and Human Biology and minored in Spanish. I spent my summers during undergrad teaching at a preschool and also had the opportunity to study abroad in Santander, Spain. I then moved to Detroit for medical school at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. In medical school I became involved in advocacy work with the MIAAP, which I hope to continue during residency. My professional interests include primary care, advocacy, and health equity. Outside of medicine, I love traveling, trying new restaurants, doing yoga, binge watching reality TV, and spending time with my fiancé and our cat, Lisa!
Why Michigan?
I am so excited to be at the University of Michigan! After my interview day, I knew I had found my new home. Everyone I met was incredibly warm and welcoming, and I knew I would be well supported while receiving an excellent, well-rounded training. Ann Arbor is such a fun town and I am so happy to be staying in Michigan near my family and friends!
