Alecia Cherney, M.D.

Program: Combined Pediatrics - Child Neurology
Medical School: Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science

About Me:
I am a true Midwestern girl, originally from a small town near Green Bay, WI where most of my family lives. I attended University of Wisconsin-Madison for undergrad, studying neurobiology and psychology and rooting for the Badger sports teams. After, I travelled to Chicago for medical school. Some of my favorite hobbies include playing indoor and beach volleyball, playing board games, hiking, and spending time with friends and family (including furry family members). I also love trying new foods and exploring the restaurant scene with my partner who just completed his pharmacy residency.

Why Michigan?
I chose University of Michigan for my Child Neurology training because of the wonderful opportunities for medical education training and the incredible residents and faculty I met during my interview trail. Also, I couldn't be happier to re-join the Big Ten family!
