Raegan Palkowski

What is your name? Where were you born? Where did you go to college?

My name is Raegan, and I was born in Ypsilanti, MI. I recently graduated from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor with a double-major in psychology and political science.

How long have you worked in the department and what does your work focus on?

I worked with kids and adolescents in high school, and frankly missed working with them during my undergraduate years. Furthermore, I’ve always been interested in the intersection of environmental and social factors with mental health.

How long have you worked in the department and what does your work focus on / what area do you work in?

I’m very new to the department, but I’m a RA conducting mostly 4-year and 5-year youth visits.

What are your plans after ABCD (grad school, etc.)

I’m currently pursuing a master’s degree in social work at U-M! Following that, I plan on working to become a licensed clinical social worker in order to provide trauma-informed therapy services.

Fun fact about yourself! What are your hobbies?

I’m RYT-200 certified so I spend most of my free time exercising, specifically yoga! I also enjoy reading, getting out in nature, and cooking.

Do you have any pets?

I have one cat named Sava:)

What’s your favorite food or restaurant?

I absolutely love Detroit Street Filling Street in Ann Arbor. I’m plant-based and I have enjoyed everything I’ve eaten there!
