New textbook from John Creswell and Timothy Guetterman covers the application of qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods in educational fields

The updated sixth edition of Educational Research: Planning, Conducting, and Evaluating Quantitative and Qualitative Research was co-authored by two family medicine research faculty members

John W. Creswell, Ph.D., adjunct professor, and Timothy C. Guetterman, Ph.D., M.A., assistant professor, have co-authored the revised sixth edition of Educational Research: Planning, Conducting, and Evaluating Quantitative and Qualitative Research. Creswell is a world-renowned scholar of mixed methods and holds an appointment in the department of educational psychology at the University of Nebraska. With his co-author and fellow methodologist, Creswell and Guetterman have updated the text to emphasize utilization of technologies in educational research and to update sections on quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods. The 2018 textbook is available now from Pearson.

Earlier this year, another key textbook authored by Creswell was awarded the McGuffey Longevity Award from the Textbook & Academic Authors Association. The award will be presented during an awards reception at the TAA’s 31st Annual Textbook & Academic Authoring Conference in Santa Fe, NM, June 15, 2018
