This pioneering study by family medicine faculty, fellows and residents identified racial inequities in newborn drug testing at Michigan Medicine and explored patient-provider perspectives regarding newborn drug testing. In this talk, researchers will describe community engagement efforts, qualitative and quantitative research findings, and implications for hospital and public policies to promote health equity for pregnant people.
