Shannon began her nursing career at Michigan Medicine in 1999. The first part of her career was spent taking care of complex medical/surgical patients from the 17 different pediatric specialty services at CS Mott Children’s Hospital. She then joined the peri-anesthesia care unit (PACU) where she assisted pediatric patients with pre-surgery readiness and recovering patients from anesthesia post-surgery. She joined the pediatric urology nursing team as a clinical care coordinator in 2016. Shannon provides on-site nursing care and education for pediatric urology patients & families at the Michigan Medicine Brighton Center for Specialty Care in Brighton. She also provides complex care coordination by phone and through the UM Patient Portal for pediatric urology patients followed at our other locations.
