Michigan PM&R faculty shine at the AACPDM meeting in Chicago

Michigan Medicine PM&R had an outstanding presence at the recent American Academy of Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine (AACPDM) meeting in Chicago in September.

We had seven scientific posters presented on a range of topics across the lifespan.  Authors included Dr. Lubna Ayoubi (our chief resident), Dr. Alecia Daunter, Dr. Jessica Pruente, Dr. Dan Whitney, Dr. Daniel Whibley, and Dr. Hurvitz.  Dr. Tomoko Sugiyama Baba, our visiting scholar is also pictured here as an author, as well as some of our national colleagues.  Many faculty presented at courses.  Aside from those mentioned, Dr. Heidi Haapala, Dr. Seth Warschausky, Dr. Mary Schmidt, Dr. Jack Kaufman, Dr. Jen Larson, and Dr. Mark Peterson presented on a wide variety of topics.  Dr. Peterson was also honored as the Champers Lifespan lecturer, a prestigious award recognizing his outstanding body of work related to pediatric onset disabilities, especially cerebral palsy.  The conference featured a dinner at Chicago’s famous Field Museum of Natural History, attended by Drs. Hurvitz, Pruente and Bowman.  It was exciting to see such a strong Michigan showing!
