Overview
The Michigan Medicine department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation offers a one-year cancer rehabilitation fellowship. Trainees can expect to see a wide variety of cancer patients in both the inpatient and outpatient setting and collaborate with other departments such as radiation oncology, palliative care and symptom management, pediatrics, and more. Those who want EMG or procedure experience will also have the opportunity to explore their interests in these areas. Research/ publication and networking opportunities will be available, and fellows will establish relationships with leaders in the field to set up long-term career mentoring even after they complete their fellowship.
The Cancer Rehabilitation Fellowship lasts one year, July - June. Candidates should have completed residency training or be scheduled to complete training in the year they are applying for position (e.g. if applying to start July 2025, you would need to graduate residency or be scheduled to graduate residency by June 2025) and be board eligible or certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation.
