Dr. McMichael received his medical degree from the University of California Irvine School of Medicine. He trained at Detroit Receiving Hospital and Tufts Medical Center, specializing in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. He completed a fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and is also board-certified in Hospice & Palliative Medicine. His practice focuses on academic medicine cancer rehabilitation, particularly inpatient rehabilitation of patients with impairments arising from cancer and its treatments. He has practiced at UPMC and at The Ohio State University Medical Center, where he served as medical director of Dodd Rehabilitation Hospital for over 4 years.
