Critical Care Pharmacy

General Description

Residency Program Director: Jim Miller, PharmD, BCCCP

The Department of Pharmacy Services at University of Michigan Health is recruiting applicants for a one-year PGY2 residency in critical care. PGY2 programs build on Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) education and PGY1 pharmacy residency training to develop clinical pharmacists in advanced or specialized practice. PGY2 residencies provide residents with opportunities to build their medication therapy knowledge, develop and refine their skill in applying it, and employ both in the care of the critically ill. Residents who successfully complete an accredited PGY2 pharmacy residency should be highly qualified for clinical pharmacy and/or faculty positions and be eligible for board certification in critical care (BCCCP).

Recruitment Plan

The residency program accepts applicants from internal candidates interested in early commitment as well as external candidates currently completing PGY1 pharmacy residencies.
