Why did you choose Michigan's residency program? A huge reason I chose Michigan Medicine was their involvement in diversity, equity, and inclusion. It is evident that this institution puts great emphasis on these values, and strives to be at the forefront of change. As well, Michigan Medicine offers a  wide variety of unique rotations that create a solid foundation for future practice.

Advice for future residents: Lean on your co-residents when needed. Residency is a unique time in your life and no one will quite understand what you are going through, with the exception of your co-residents (who are facing the same challenges as you are).

Also, don't sweat the small stuff, there will be good days and bad days. The most important thing is that you pick yourself back up and give it your all the next day.
