PGY1 Pharmacy Resident

Pharmacy School: University of Michigan

Why did you choose Michigan's residency program? My experience during school with the pharmacists at Michigan Medicine was incredible. The preceptors here are the cream of the crop and are incredibly smart and supportive in making you the best pharmacist possible. The hospital has an abundance of different services, resources, and opportunities that aren't available in other places. In my opinion, there was not anything to not love about the program here!

Research Topic: Safety and Efficacy of DOACs vs Warfarin in Dialysis

Writing Topic: VTE Prophylaxis in Patients with Low Body Weight

Hobbies outside of pharmacy: Candle making, puzzles, board games

Favorite Movie: The Lord of the Rings Trilogy

Favorite restaurant in Ann Arbor: Taco Bell

Advice for future residents: Embrace every learning opportunity, build strong relationships with your preceptors and colleagues, and stay committed to continuous self-improvement to make the most of your pharmacy residency experience. Take advantage of the ability to get feedback from peers and preceptors, it is an excellent opportunity to find areas of improvement and get an abundance of feedback.
