William G. Barsan Collegiate Professorship Officially Approved

The William G. Barsan Collegiate Professorship was officially approved at the June meeting of the Regents.  As the founding chair of the Department of Emergency Medicine, Dr. Barsan led us to the forefront of emergency care and mentored many of the current administrative and academic leaders in the field. He continues to lead clinical research efforts, focusing on neurological emergencies and innovative clinical trial design. Through this professorship, we seek to honor Dr. Barsan’s contributions to the department and to his many residents, fellows and colleagues.
