DATA-MD article features DLHS faculty Dr. Cornelius James

DLHS Clinical Assistant Professor, Cornelius James, M.D. is featured in a recent Innovative Development Program article about DATA-MD, an innovative medical curriculum which is being developed to teach the evaluation of clinical machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) tools in medical practice.

Dr. James emphasized the potential for AI and ML tools to enhance diagnostic decision-making tools that is now being seen within health care. He described the DATA-MD curriculum as being a "step in this direction.” Dr. James and Andrew Wong, M.D., Chief Medical Resident in Internal Medicine co-lead DATA-MD.

The DATA-MD project received funding from the  Graduate Medical Education Innovation Fund, which supports work that leads to innovative methods aimed at educating future physicians.
