DLHS faculty and staff celebrate the recent MHPE graduates

The Department of Learning Health Sciences (DLHS) and the Master of Health Professions Education (MHPE) celebrated the most recent graduates of the MHPE program, at a reception at the home of Larry Gruppen, PhD, retiring Director of the MHPE. 

The graduates were:

  3. Kate Kraft, MD, MHPE, FACS, FAAP, Chief, Division of Pediatric Urology, Mark C. McQuiggan, M.D. and Carolyn A. McQuiggan Research Professor, Michigan Medicine, Department of Urology
  4. Marty Chun-YenTam, MD, Clinical Assistant Professor, Michigan Medicine Cardiology Clinic, Michigan Medicine, Frankel Cardiovascular Center

The 2023 cohort also marks the tenth year of the program and over 30 graduates. Dr. Gruppen said the highly innovative competency-based model for the program has worked well for busy professionals who can use their regular educational activities to learn and demonstrate attainment in 12 domains of educational competence. However, he emphasized that "the success of our graduates reflects their dedication and persistence and we are proud of their success."
