Biography

Michelle Williams is a Senior Project Manager in the Department of Learning Health Sciences.  

In this role, she manages and coordinates two large learning community projects:  The Michigan Resuscitation Innovation and Science Enterprise (M-RISE) Population Project and the Out-of-Hospital Cardiac Arrest (OHCA). She also manages the Learning Health Sciences for Michigan Medicine Project and is the department liaison for communication, program marketing and departmental fundraising/development projects.

Michelle spent more than 10 years working in health care with skills overseeing community engagement and health informatics projects, including a summer appointment working on State interoperability at the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC), in Washington, D.C. She received both her Bachelor of Science in Anthropology and Master of Health informatics from the University of Michigan. Immediately prior, Michelle worked as a Healthcare Analyst in the Center for Health and Research Transformation, managing the evaluation of technology-driven and other community health initiatives. She also brings ten years of communication experience working as a news reporter and television Broadcaster in Georgetown, Guyana, where she presented the daily 6 o’clock News, country wide.

Michelle enjoys running, sampling diverse cuisines, and traveling to new places with her family
