Biography

Caleb Riddering is a master's student in the Health Infrastructure and Learning Systems program. He received his BS in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology at the University of Michigan, with the end goal of working in the medical field. For the past two summers, Caleb worked at Cayman Chemical, a biotechnology company based in Ann Arbor which provides chemicals to academic labs and pharmaceutical companies. At Cayman, he worked closely with the Assay Kit R&D and Drug Discovery departments and got exposed to the research that gets done with Cayman's products.

Caleb came across the HILS program during his senior year and knew that it was the perfect fit for him and his career goals. He is interested in implementation science and the integration of technology with healthcare practice, working under Dr. Vitaliy Popov as his advisor.

Caleb has 4 brothers and 2 nephews. Back home in Grand Rapids, there are 2 cats and a bearded dragon named Norbert (Harry Potter, anyone?) In my free time, he likes to read, run, play video games, and hang out with friends whenever he can. During the summers, he raises monarch butterflies to help boost their declining population.
