Biography

Trever Koester is a general surgery resident at Michigan Medicine. Trever grew up in the small town of Somerset, Wisconsin and completed his undergraduate education at the University of Wisconsin – Stout, graduating summa cum laude with a B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Following college, he worked for a year in clinical research at Gillette Children’s Hospital in St. Paul, MN. Most recently he completed his medical education at Harvard Medical School. Trever’s clinical interests include abdominal transplantation, hepatobiliary surgery, and surgical oncology. He is passionate about surgical education and mentorship.
