The World Health Statistics, published annually by the World Health Organization (WHO), is considered the definitive source of information on the health of the world's people. The 2015 edition is a critical one as it coincides with the final year for the United Nations Millenium Development Goals that were set in 2000 by approximately 200 governments to guide global efforts to end poverty.
