Botox and Cosmetic Fillers

Botox® is a popular non-surgical injection that temporarily reduces or eliminates frown lines, forehead creases, crow’s feet near the eyes and thick bands in the neck. Botox® works by blocking the release of acetylcholine, which triggers muscle contraction. Dynamic wrinkles – those caused by muscle movement – are therefore the wrinkle type best treated with Botox®. One injection lasts about five months.

It is made with hyaluronic acid, a natural substance found in the body that works with collagen and elastin to give volume and support to the skin. Your doctor will inject Juvéderm™ under your skin to instantly smooth out those wrinkles and folds. Results are so smooth and natural. Juvéderm™ injections typically last 4-6 months.

JUVÉDERM VOLUMA® XC is a FDA-approved filler that's part of the Juvederm collection of injectables. Voluma adds volume to correct age-related volume loss in the cheeks to help create a more youthful appearance. Voluma is made of a thick hyaluronic based gel that enables us to re-fill areas that aging has caused to deflate.

Kybella is the first and only FDA-approved injectable treatment that contours and improves the appearance and profile of moderate to severe submental fullness, or “double-chin.” Together, you and one of our board-certified facial plastic surgeons will design a treatment plan tailored to help you achieve your desired chin profile. Many patients experience visible results in 2 to 4 treatment sessions.

Radiesse® is a FDA-approved dermal filler made of unique calcium-based microspheres suspended in a natural gel that is injected into the skin to restore a natural, youthful look. This convenient treatment can restore facial volume as well as correct smile lines and wrinkles around the nose and mouth. Radiesse® works with your body to stimulate your own new collagen growth and may last a year or longer.

Restylane® is designed to smooth wrinkles, sculpt lips and shape facial contours. It is a clear, synthetic gel made with hyaluronic acid, which is a natural substance that is found throughout your body. It carries little risk of allergic reaction. The most common areas for treatment are the frown lines and laugh lines. With its unique ability to bind with water, Restylane® maintains results for 4-6 months.

Restylane Silk is the first FDA-approved product specifically designed for lip augmentation and the smoothing of wrinkles around the mouth in patients 21 years of age and older.

Restylane Lyft is formulated to correct midface contour deficiencies in patients over the age of 21. Restylane Lift can be used for cheek augmentation, as well as moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds.

Sculptra® is an injectable synthetic Poly-L-lactic acid which is biocompatible and biodegradable. It can be used for restoration of volume due to facial fat loss from aging or disease. Sculptra® is injected below the surface of the skin in areas of fat loss to provide an increase in skin thickness. A minimum of three treatments is recommended for optimal results. Visual results are gradual and appear within the first few sessions. Results can last as long as two years.

Xeomin is an FDA approved alternative to Botox and Dysport. Although introduced in the US in 2010, Xeomin has been used successfully in other countries since 2005. Xeomin is used to block muscle movement in areas that contribute to wrinkles. Like Botox, Xeomin is designed to treat brow wrinkles, crow’s feet, bunny lines, and frown lines. Although, Xeomin uses the same active ingredient, botulinum toxin, as Botox it is somewhat of a purer form of the toxin.
