The Center for Cell Plasticity and Organ Design (CPOD) hosts an annual seminar series and a biennial international symposium and poster session that brings our community together, introduces new technologies and research approaches pertinent to our mission, promotes research collaborations for our members and provides career development opportunities for our trainees.  We host invited speakers within the University and both domestic and internationally.

Mark your calendars as the Center for Cell Plasticity and Organ Design (CPOD) welcomes six faculty from across the U.S. who will be sharing their research during March, April, and May in our latest Winter 2025 Seminar Series!  Please join us to hear from Dr. Katia Del Rio-Tsonis (Miami University), Dr. Mo Ebrahimkhani (University of Pittsburgh), Dr. Margaret Gardel (University of Chicago), Dr. Thomas Leung (University of Pennsylvania), Dr. Jennifer Sucre (Vanderbilt University) and Dr. Eszter Vladar (University of Colorado).   

 

CPOD 30TH ANNIVERSARY SYMPOSIUM

The Center for Cell Plasticity and Organ Design (CPOD) will celebrate our 30th Anniversary with a symposium and reception on May 28, in the Biomedical Science Research Building Kahn Auditorium that will include presentations from our former Center Directors: Deborah Gumucio PhD, Gary Hammer MD, PhD, and Deneen Wellik PhD and Current Director: Linda Samuelson PhD.  The Symposium is a significant milestone in the Center's history that marks its dedication and contribution to the UM scientific community. The Symposium is an afternoon event that is filled with a series of in-person speakers with a focus on the Center's past, present and future, followed by a reception.
