Biography

Research Experience- My doctoral research focused on to study the role of neuronal regulators in megakaryopoiesis (platelet production process). Neuronal regulator such as endocannabinoids plays an important role in pathophysiology of neuronal disease and their regulation. However, not much is known for their application in immune and blood disorder. Platelet plays an important role in wound healing and blood clotting thereby regulating homeostatic tone of blood system. Megakaryocytes are immediate precursor of platelet and largest cell resides in bone marrow. My research goal is to understand the role of endocannabinoids in megakaryopoiesis and platelet production. In this aspect my research has emphasized the role of virodhamine in megakaryocyte differentiation. My research finding, provided the evidence that virodhamine could induce megakaryocyte maturation and involve in pro-platelet formation.
