Biography

I was born in Israel and did my undergraduate studies in Biological Sciences at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland. I then moved to the US to start my PhD at Duke University, and start a family with my wife Hanna who was pursuing her own PhD at UNC-Chapel Hill.

I came to UMICH as a postdoc to follow my research interest, understanding how cells respond to stress and injury. At the Coulombe lab, I approach this question by studying how keratins are involved in the cellular response to stress.

I hope to gain experience and independence to pursue my research interest and train others in the future from my Post Doc experience at UMICH. I look forward to the Michigan winters!
