Alex Donaghy, M.D.

Clinical Assistant Professor

Biography

I was born and raised on the West side of the state and schooled in Ann Arbor (go Blue!), before moving out West for residency and fellowship training in Seattle. I'm a board-certified physiatrist and received dedicated fellowship training in post-amputation rehabilitation and prosthetic/orthotic restoration.

In 2022, I moved "home" to Ann Arbor with my wife, young son, and 2 dogs, and have loved working for the University. In my spare time, I enjoy running/hiking/biking on local trails, backpacking, and spending time with family & friends.

My approach to patient care, first and foremost, is to sit back and listen. A goal of mine is to think "big-picture"/ holistically, and to tailor therapies & management strategies toward return of function. Quality of life is most important!
