Job Description
The Department of Emergency Medicine at Michigan Medicine is recruiting an academic dual-boarded emergency medicine/critical care faculty to join its innovative and growing Division of Critical Care. This position will include clinical time in the Emergency Critical Care Center (EC3), adult emergency department, and 6-10 weeks of Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) day/night coverage. EC3 is an unique 9-bed ICU housed within our emergency department that is dedicated to the initial diagnosis, stabilization, and ongoing care of critically ill patients. The Michigan Medicine CVICU is a 32-bed ICU that cares for critically ill adult cardiothoracic surgical patients by providing cardiopulmonary support including ventricular assist devices, total artificial heart systems, and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation.
Qualifications
- Candidates should demonstrate clinical excellence and strong interest in critical care clinical operations, quality improvement, scholarship, or education.
- Candidates must be ABA, ABEM, ABIM, or ABS critical care medicine board-certified or board-eligible with clinical experience in cardiothoracic ICU.
- Board certification in emergency medicine is also required.
