Curriculum on Health Disparities and Underserved (CHDU)

Interest:
Academic

The UMMS Curriculum on Health Disparities and the Underserved is designed to have a logical longitudinal progression such that intended learning outcomes build upon each other as students’ progress from the first through fourth years.

While free clinics offer care to underserved communities, collective partnerships with such institutions remain generally unexplored by medical schools. This group consists of multiple learning experiences spanning the four years of medical school and integrated into the overall UMMS curriculum to take a closer look at these health disparities and improving the current health care infrastructure.
