The Michigan Medicine Office of Continuing Medical Education and Lifelong Learning has announced the recipients of its Innovation Grants for Continuing Medical Education (CME) for 2018.
Five Innovation Awards were made to support innovations in CME. The chosen activities will receive up to $25,000 to promote innovation in all aspects of physician learning or training, including content, process, outcomes or assessment.
“The Innovation Grants in CME are a phenomenal way to encourage the enhancement of physician performance through medical education. The format has allowed teams to develop targeted training to solve real-life problems in our shared journey to enhance patient care,” says David W. Healy, M.D., assistant dean for continuing medical education and lifelong learning, and associate professor of anesthesiology. “This year, the evaluation group found it very hard to choose due to the very high standard of submitted project proposals. We are so excited to see the results of the successful projects, given their innovative educational designs, commitment to inter-professional education, and highly impactful topics.”
