John F. Greden, M.D., the Rachel Upjohn Professor of Psychiatry and Clinical Neurosciences and a research professor in the Behavioral Neuroscience Institute, received a pair of awards Sept. 13 at the National Network of Depression Centers (NNDC) annual conference in Denver. 

Greden (left), who serves as executive director of the U-M Comprehensive Depression Center, received the received the “Building Bridges” award from NNDC Chair Ray DePaulo, M.D. (right). DePaulo also presented Greden with a special tribute from Michigan Governor Rick. Snyder and the State of Michigan for his contributions to the field of mental health.

Greden joined the Medical School faculty in 1974 and served as chair of the Department of Psychiatry from 1985-2007.
