188 Medical School faculty members earn promotions during 2023 cycle
The Board of Regents on May 18 approved the promotions, which take effect Sept. 1
A total of 189 Medical School faculty earned promotions during the 2023 cycle after their elevated positions were approved by the University of Michigan Board of Regents on May 18.
The promotions take effect Sept. 1, 2023.
- The largest number of promotions came in the clinical track, with 101 faculty earning 117 promotions to clinical professor or clinical associate professor.
- The tenure track had 55 faculty earn 79 promotions to professor (with or without tenure) or associate professor (with or without tenure).
- The research track had 20 faculty earn 22 promotions to research professor, research associate professor or research assistant professor.
- Thirteen faculty earned promotion to research scientist, associate research scientist or assistant research scientist.
- One faculty member earned promotion across two tracks — tenure and research.
- Nine faculty earned promotions in schools, colleges and departments outside of the Medical School
