
Daryl K. McDaniel, MBA
Daryl K. McDaniel, MBA, serves as the chief of staff for the clinical enterprise at the University of Michigan. In this role, he directs the administrative, financial and operational activities of the U-M Health System (UMHS) Office of the President and serves as an advisor to the president. He also provides leadership for the business activities and strategic initiatives of the clinical enterprise, including collaborating with the clinical leadership team to implement the strategic direction. He is the point of contact in the UMHS Office of the President for all clinical corporate office administrative functions and serves on multiple leadership committees.
Since he joined U-M in 2003, McDaniel has served in multiple administrative and strategic positions. Prior to joining the UMHS Office of the President, he was the chief department administrator for the U-M Medical School Department of Learning Health Sciences. Before that, he served as administrator for the UMHS Blood & Marrow Transplantation (BMT) program, research administrator for the BMT-Pediatrics program, and assistant director for academic affairs at the School of Public Health Dean’s Office.
McDaniel earned both his BMA and MBA degrees from the University of Michigan.
