University of Michigan Medical School Departments, Centers, Institutes and Programs

Throughout 20 clinical and nine basic science departments, teaching, research and clinical care often cross traditional departmental boundaries, particularly in the school's interdisciplinary centers and institutes and programs. The Medical School’s close proximity and the cooperative relationships with other colleges and schools of the University — including the School of Public Health and College of Engineering — foster opportunities for creative research and educational collaborations.
