The 38th Annual Nesbit meeting started off with a new HoLEP CME event on Day 1 anchored by Dr. Peter Gilling, Professor of Surgery at the University of Auckland and the inventor of HoLEP. With an excellent complement of faculty from across the US, there was a robust discussion on different HoLEP techniques as well as a spirited discussion on what type of energy was best and techniques to deal with prostates of an “unusual size.”
“Advanced Training in Laser Prostate Enucleation" - September 26
Nesbit Meeting - September 27
Day 2 started off with a presentation from our Gold Cystoscope awardee Dr. Simpa Salami. We had an excellent discussion on the changing English language and managing our inner “gramando” from Dr. Anne Curzan. Two inspiring talks from Dr. Timothy Bradford on the important work that Global Surgical Expeditions is doing around the world and from Dr. Stephanie Kielb on her extraordinary work in Rwanda showed us what our graduates are doing to promote health equity world-wide.
The highlight of the dinner on Day 2 of the meeting was the riveting performance of Oz Pearlman, the mentalist.
Nesbit Tailgate - September 28
Day 3 of Nesbit was marked by rain from the remnants of hurricane Helene and the Nesbit tailgate. #Go Blue
Thank you to everyone who made this event possible and to those who took time out of their day to join us.
