Biography
Dr. Barry Gross is a member of the Department of Radiology, Chest Division at the University of Michigan. He graduated from the University of Michigan Medical School and completed an internal medicine internship and a radiology residency at the University of Cincinnati. Following a fellowship in body computed tomography and ultrasonography at the University of California, San Francisco, Dr. Gross joined the faculty of the University of Michigan, becoming the chest division director in 1983. He was Chairman of Radiology at Henry Ford Hospital from 1989 to 1992, and returned to the University of Michigan as Professor of Radiology in 1992. Dr. Gross specializes in all aspects of thoracic imaging, with a longstanding interest in lung cancer staging. He is a co-investigator for the American College of Radiology Imaging Network's National Lung Screening Trial.
