Psychiatry has been an interest of mine since middle school. When looking for a program during medical school, I was looking for a place that could get me excellent clinical training and access to top-tier academics and research without feeling stuffy and overdone. I was and still am impressed with the residents and faculty at Michigan and I think this was the ideal place for what I was looking for. My interests outside of psychiatry include music, sports, games, and spending time outdoors, and Ann Arbor is an excellent place for all of these things.
