Biography

I started my passion for advocacy after graduating with my Bachelors in Social Work. I began my clinical career in Social Work after graduating in 2019 from Wayne State University with a Master’s in Social Work with a focus on CBT. I began working at an inpatient psychiatric prison where I ran psychotherapy and cognitive behavioral therapy groups. I have also practiced individual psychotherapy with patients with traumatic brain injuries. Most recently, I have worked at Sinai Grace as a psychiatric social worker along with my former position at Michigan Medicine Department of Social Work in Infectious Disease as a risk reduction social worker. I am involved in community organizations such as NAACP and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc where I serve my community.
