Rami Naom, M.D.

Resident
Class of 2026

Biography

I am a first-generation immigrant from Baghdad, Iraq. I have lived in 5 different countries across 3 continents, which has instilled my love for travel and seeking out novel experiences. The reasons to choose University of Michigan’s psychiatry program are endless, but for me it was the fact that while it’s a large, academic institution, it still remains in touch and actively involved with mental health programs across the community. Outside of residency, I enjoy a good game of chess, going to the gym, playing tennis, and exploring different coffee shops around Ann Arbor.
