We are excited to announce Dr. Maureen Walton has been selected as one of the 2022 Michigan Institute for Clinical & Health Research (MICHR) Outstanding Mentorship Awardees. She will be honored at a ceremony later this fall during the 2022 Mentoring Forum. Information regarding the ceremony will be forthcoming.
Out of a competitive field of remarkable and generous research leaders, MICHR selects individuals who meet the highest standard for clinical and translational research mentorship. The pool of nominees is represented by a diverse group of U-M units, including Dentistry, Engineering, Ford School of Public Policy, Institute for Survey Research, Medicine, Public Health, and Social Work.
The outstanding Mentorship Award was established in 2012 to recognize faculty who foster the intellectual, creative, scholarly, and professional growth of their students, fellows, and trainees in the areas of clinical and translational health and research. Each year a select number of faculty members who contribute enormously to the research environment at U-M are honored with the MICHR Distinguished Clinical and Translational Research Mentor Award.
Congratulations Dr. Walton!
