Kavitha Lobo, LMSW

Clinical Social Worker

Biography

Kavitha received her Master's of Social Work degree from University of Michigan's School of Social Work and finished our Post-Graduate Social Work Fellowship here in Ambulatory Psychiatry. She has found a clinical home in Zero to Thrive, through the Perinatal and Infant and Early Childhood Clinics, where she’s enjoyed working with people and families from intergenerational, trauma-informed, and attachment lenses.

She currently provides psychotherapy to people across the lifespan who are impacted by trauma and uses an eclectic approach integrating attachment theory, family systems theory, MI, DBT, CBT, CPP, and PMT, and facilitates trainings for Zero to Thrive’s Strong Roots programs. She has also appreciated her time supervising social work interns and fellows, providing reflective consultation to agencies implementing group programs, and running group psychotherapy.

Kavitha is excited to be in the Department of Psychiatry and we are thrilled to welcome her into our clinical family.
