My name is Katie Thorne and I grew up in Westland, Michigan. I moved to Ann Arbor to study neuroscience at the University of Michigan where I graduated in the spring of 2020 (Go Blue!)
What interests you about the ABCD Study/research?
The ABCD Study is unique because it’s the largest long-term study of brain development and adolescent health in the United States! What I find most interesting about the study is its unlimited potential to help the research community improve healthcare and public policy to benefit adolescents everywhere.
How long have you worked in the department and what does your work focus on / what area do you work in?’I've been working with the ABCD Study since November 2020. Throughout my time here I’ve worked with countless families, administering surveys and fMRI tasks, conducting semi-formal clinical interviews, and contributing to interdisciplinary publications using ABCD Study data'
