Biography

I chose the University of Michigan because I had no doubt I would receive top-notch education as a training psychiatrist. In addition, I knew that with amazing faculty, a strong resident union, and diverse clinical settings that while learning I would feel supported and also excited throughout the next four years. Even though I'm only about a month into intern year writing this, I've already found these reasons to be validated by my experiences thus far while caring for and learning from interesting patients in Psychiatric Emergency Services and on our Consult-Liaison Psychiatry Team. I also can't forget the residents who drew me to this program. I felt a connection and draw toward the program that I didn't expect to experience through a Zoom call. I have found that moving to this part of Michigan has been great for my love of the outdoors and good food. I also have a love for travel both near and far, and I'm looking forward to being able to drive for weekend trips to Toronto, Chicago, Cleveland, and northern Michigan. Additional big things in my life besides psychiatry include my love for animals, especially my cat Mango and dog Maple, my family, and other hobbies/interests that make life fun including hiking, reading, yoga, cool shoes, music, and dancing.
