Aubrie Hanson, M.D.

Resident
Class of 2026

Biography

Being a psychiatry resident here at the University of Michigan is a dream come true. As a former Michigander and recent Arkansan, I was excited and honored to have the chance to return to my prior home state and join not only an esteemed medical institution, but one that was brimming with warm, authentic, and passionate individuals. This factor was overwhelmingly obvious from my interview experience and has become more evident and impressive ever since. I have seen and experienced the ways in which our residents are supported by both each other and our attendings and having so many people in your corner makes all the difference during the hard days and nights of residency. Being at a program with abundant opportunity was important to me and I’m confident that I’ll be able to explore my passions here as I discover them. My favorite activities outside of work include exploring Ann Arbor’s amazing food scene and beautiful outdoor areas with my co-residents, or relaxing at home with cats, music, and video games.
