Biography

Shamara Williams is a Neuropsychological Research Technician Associate working on the Longitudinal Study of Bipolar Disorder. She joined the team in December 2019. Shamara graduated from the University of Michigan in May 2018 with a B.A. in Biopsychology, Cognition and Neuroscience. While at U-M, she was a research assistant in the Department of Communication Studies for a study that examined the psychological effects of negative and violent portrayals of Arabs and Muslims in the entertainment media. Shamara joins the Prechter team from the Department of Urology as a Research Coordinator. In the future, Shamara plans to pursue a Ph.D. in clinical psychology and plans to study body-focused repetitive disorders.
